Slow cooked creamy vegetable bake Recipe. Far out it is amazing!! never doing oven bakes again!.

CREAMY VEGETABLE BAKE Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

6-7 cups any veggies sliced – I used carrot, onion, celery, potato & broccoli

5 pieces short cut bacon diced

500mls thickened cream

1/2 packet French onion soup mix

Basic white sauce

Salt & pepper

METHOD:

Sauté onion & bacon in fry pan

Layer veggies a little at a time adding some bacon & cream between each layer

Finish with remaining cream, and sprinkle soup mix over top
Prepare white sauce, then put over top of veggies.

Salt & pepper to taste

Cook for 6-7 hours on low or until veggies are soft.

NOTES:

Add some grated cheese 30 minutes before serving.

I made extra white sauce as I felt the cream was not enough liquid – you could simply add more cream if preferred!

You could also use a whole packet of soup, I only used had half.

So yummy!

WHITE SAUCE RECIPE

2 cups milk
40g butter
3 tbsp flour
salt & pepper

Directions:

Mix flour, salt, milk & pepper with whisk very well.

Heat the butter in a frying-pan.

Add the mixture, and Stir until the sauce is thickens. Remember Not too thick (Do not burn the mixture. Enjoy
