What to Serve With
Fresh salad
A cool green salad with a tangy vinaigrette is the ideal match to Creamy Paprika Steak Shells, as it is a nice contrast to its richness.
Bread options
To have more food, a good idea is the garlic bread or the warm and crusty baguette bread cut into slices to absorb all the gravy.
Roasted vegetables
Vegetables that have been roasted lightly such as asparagus or broccoli provide some color and nutrients.
Drinks
The meal will be perfectly completed with a glass of bold red wine (such as a Cabernet or Malbec). Looking to have some fun family-style? Serve and garnish with sparkling lemonade or ice tea!
Top Tips for Perfecting
Substitute protein
No steak? Where boneless chicken could be used, you can use mushrooms in its place, and still, the bite of savory is there!
Do not overcook
Do not cook the steak too long- sear fast to have a perfect and juicy steak. To add extra flavor place the steak and allow it to rest then slice.
Paprika choice
Smoked paprika is recommended, as this gives the dish richness and depth, but plain paprika is also fine, as it is available.
Extra cheese
Feeling extra cheesy? Add some Parmesan or some Gruyere!
Deglaze properly
Wipe out your skillet very thoroughly with the broth to get all the tasty brown stuff–gold in flavour!
Garlic care
Do not burn the garlic, just keep the burner on medium and briefly sauté.
Larger batch
To prepare two times, take a bigger skillet and prepare steak in portions.
