5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Corn and Potato Chowder

Winter Chowder: This recipe requires just 5 ingredients. This is a dense soup that is made very filling by Corn and potatoes.
It is a warm, homey, creamy chowder and is served when it is cold! The soup is quick, nourishing and high in calories, with just 5 readily available ingredients. The corn and potato mix is a really good thick base that no one will weary of.

Ingredients

Frozen or canned corn – 3 cups – Drain in case of using canned corn.
Potatoes – 3 medium, peeled and diced – Makes it thick and hearty.
3 cups Milk (or half-and-half)- for extra creaminess
Broth, vegetable or chicken – 1 cup – Select depending on your taste.
Salt & black pepper to taste – To taste.

Instructions

Cook the Veggies
Add the diced broth, potatoes and corn into a large pot.
Boil, then simmer the mixture.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
Make It Creamy
Mash potatoes in the pot using potato masher or an immersion blender. This helps in the natural thickening of the chowder.
Add Milk
The milk is added (to make it creamier, half-and-half can be used).
Lightly cook the chowder without boiling.
Heavy sprinkling of salt and black pepper.

Serve
When hot pour the chowder into bowls.
