What You Need
-
12 oz bag of wide egg noodles (the dry kind)
-
2 packs brown gravy mix (1 oz each)
-
4 cups water
How to Make Brown Gravy Noodles Slow Cooker
-
Spray the inside of your slow cooker (4-6 quarts) with no-stick spray so nothing sticks.
-
Pour in the water and gravy mix. Whisk until it’s all smooth, no lumps! It should look like thin gravy.
-
Put on the lid. Cook it on HIGH heat for 1 hr or LOW heat for 2 hrs until hot and a bit thicker.
-
Stir the gravy good. Dump in the dry noodles. Push them down with a spoon so they’re mostly under the gravy.
-
Cover and cook on HIGH for 25-35 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes—mix edge noodles to the middle so they cook even.
-
Check at 20 minutes. Noodles are done when soft but not soggy, and gravy is thick and shiny on them. Too thick? Add a splash of hot water and stir.
-
Turn to WARM. Let sit covered 5-10 minutes so sauce sticks better.
-
Scoop from the bottom to serve—every bite gets lots of gravy!
