Beef joint in the Slow Cooker

First time with a beef joint in the slow cooker! I will literally never roast one again in the oven now!
It looks dry on the picture but it really wasn’t in the slightest.
I don’t do pink meat so this was set to low for 5 hours and just melted in the mouth. 😋
The gravy was delicious too with some added vegemite!! Winner!

All very simple ( as it was my first go)




RECIPE:
1kg topside beef rubbed in a little oil and seared in frying pan.
Popped it in slow cooker with around 800ml of pre made gravy ( bisto best beef) and crumbled an OXO on top.
Beef was about 80% covered in liquid.
Added some salt and pepper and vegemite.
Left it for 5 hours on low..
Rested for 40 mins and that was it!

I’ll get more adventurous next week now I know how the beef comes out!
