Ingredients:
-
2 lbs chicken wings
-
2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1/2 cup cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
-
2 teaspoons garlic powder
-
2 teaspoons onion powder
-
2 teaspoons paprika
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 cup buttermilk (for marinating)
-
Cooking spray or a little oil for greasing the pan
OVEN FRIED CHICKEN WINGS: Directions
-
Put the chicken wings in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Make sure all wings are covered. Let them soak for at least 1 hour.
-
In another bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Take each wing from the buttermilk, shake off extra liquid, and coat it well in the flour mixture.
-
Place the coated wings on a baking sheet. Put a little cooking spray on them or use a brush to spread some oil lightly.
-
Bake in a hot oven (about 425°F or 220°C) until the wings are golden and crispy, about 25–30 minutes. Turn them once halfway through so both sides get crispy.
-
When done, let the wings rest for a few minutes, then serve hot and enjoy!
