1 jar (24 ounces) marinara or spaghetti sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or mix of dried basil and oregano)

Lay the frozen sausage links flat in a single layer at the bottom of a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker. Skip thawing them.

Spread the sliced peppers and onion all over the top of the sausages.

Mix the marinara sauce with the Italian seasoning in a bowl or cup, then pour it over everything. Coat the sausages and veggies well.

Put the lid on and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours, or HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. Sausages should hit 160°F inside for pork (165°F for turkey ones), and peppers/onions super soft.

Taste the sauce. Add a bit of salt or more seasoning if you like. For thicker sauce, take off lid and cook on HIGH 15-20 more minutes.
