  • 1 cup real maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

  1. Give your 4- to 6-quart slow cooker a quick spray of nonstick stuff. It keeps things from sticking for easy clean-up.

  2. Lay the chicken flat in one layer at the bottom. A tiny overlap is okay, but keep it even so it cooks nice and gets good sauce.

  3. In a little bowl, stir the maple syrup and Dijon mustard until it’s all mixed smooth.
